Quality Technician

Job Description:

The Quality Technician will have responsibility of collecting data to investigate internal reports and customer claims for order discrepancies in the distribution processes in accordance with required company procedures. In addition, this position will act with safety, efficiency, quality and productivity to assure that orders and systems meet stated requirements, perform process audits to assess QMS Process Adherence in the DC picking areas and report findings.

Conducts test protocols to failed orders as assigned to evaluate systems and processes that are created in order to meet customer expectations. Provides support to other functional teams as needed to understand order test protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect, sort, and analyze data from claims to investigate and identify the root cause of quality problems.

  • Perform internal process audits of the product and process, create reports related to data acquired and submit findings.

  • Analyze and evaluate log data associated with weight variances to troubleshoot discrepancies in LPs and UCCs.

  • 5s and visual management reviews.

  • Perform administrative functions to improve and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Creation and deployment of Quality and Process Alerts.

  • Demonstrate Milwaukee’s Culture Expectations – Never Settle Always Improving, Speed Agility.

  • Urgency, Candid, Obsessed, Empowered Leaders, One Team Mentality.

  • Follow and participate in all safety procedures / initiatives

  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School diploma.

  • Experience in distribution center.

  • Ability to work under reduced supervision.

  • Must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects.

  • Must have good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word. PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems, High Jump.
