DESCRIPTION

Design, implement, and maintain Nielsen’s internal project management and workflow automation using leading-edge, high performant, and cost-efficient technologies. Lead and participate in Agile ceremonies. Perform code and design reviews. Prepare and test releases. Research and investigate new platform technologies and build proofs-of-concept to showcase the benefits of new technologies in Nielsen. Serve application support personnel to identify and resolve production systems issues and ensure 24/7 system availability. Implement DevSecOps principles ensuring application stability, quality, and security compliance during development, deployment, and maintenance. Write code in Angular, Java, and Postgres to implement new features based on user requirements. Deploy new features periodically to QA, UAT, and Production environments. Resolve production environment issues. Assist analysts in optimizing the use of the NAC application. Identify areas for improvement and suggest useful features for development. Assist new team members in understanding the application and navigating the system. Tools and technologies used: Visual Studio Code, Intellij, PyCharm, Gitlab, Okta, Angular, Java, PSQL, Python, AWS. Involves the opportunity to telecommute from within the Oldsmar, FL area for up to 4 days per week, as feasible.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s or higher degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering or a related field with a strong information technology focus (foreign equivalent degree acceptable) plus 3 years of experience in software development. This must include: Three (3) years of experience in/with: developing software using Java or similar object-oriented languages; thoughtfully organizing code in methods, classes, and modules; actively participating in team code reviews and encouraging quality standards; collaborating with a product team to implement plans. One (1) year of the following: application programming interfaces (API) design and implementation; working with a frontend framework such as React or Angular; collaborating with the product team to conceive new plans, team leadership assistance; CI/CD experience
