Job Responsibilities

  • Transit site business system Database support and maintenance To assist in the support and maintenance of a long standing system written in MS Access 2007 with extensive VBA coding and use of replication. The system has approximately 20 users and is a mix of office based admin staff and field service operatives. Its current functionality includes Field Service, Purchasing, Sales Orders and Invoicing. Thru the use of standard MS Access functionality (2003) these users synchronise their standalone copies of the system on a daily or weekly basis. The candidate will be expected to spend a period of time working directly with the current developer and users of the system. Thru that exercise becoming familiar with its design, use and issues. They will then go onto support the user base on a day-to-day basis and drive improvements to the system aimed at improving stability and performance via a structured change process.
