Honeywell Quality Engineering Manager in Olathe, Kansas

Lead a team that applies its expertise and knowledge in finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve quality output and continuous improvements working with Operations, Engineering, Operations, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, and Sourcing. You will lead initiatives that ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory agencies, government regulations, and engineering specifications while accountable for governance of the Quality System, product acceptance, and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and support to the quality team

  • Manage and develop a team of quality team members

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

  • Work closely with customers to understand their quality requirements and implement corrective actions where necessary.

  • Manage resource planning related to the quality function

  • Conduct cost improvement analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings

  • Lead improvement initiatives to enhance quality assurance processes and drive continuous improvement

  • Take ownership of overall compliance with regulatory and AS9100 requirements, ensuring all necessary certifications and approvals are obtained

  • Revise and update processes and procedures to align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements

  • Lead internal and external audits to assess compliance with quality management system standards

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 8+ years of experience in progressive quality leadership growth in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Significant experience in leading technical teams

  • Ability to focus priorities to best impact quality metrics

  • Multisite leadership experience

  • Experience implementing Quality Management Systems

  • Six Sigma Greenbelt desired
