Are you a Utility Pole Inspection Foreman with at least one year experience? Do you have experience with utility pole inspections, installations, treatments, and/or replacements? The Utility Pole Inspection Foreman will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a 2-6-person crew as well as the inspection of in-use utility poles. The position will require regional travel with extended time away from home. Work is outdoors in inclement work conditions.

Starting pay:

  • $25 per hour

  • $100 per diem/per wk.

  • Opportunity for production bonus

  • Receive lodging, tools, and equipment

The person in this position will:

  • Lead a team of 2-6 crewmembers in providing routine and remedial treatment of wood poles.

  • Perform inspections and oversee crew as they replace, treat, and/or install defective utility poles.

  • Accurately perform data collection utilizing approved collection materials to include laptop, iPad, GPS, range finder, measuring sticks, and other electronic devices as necessary.

  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in working order for completion of job duties and assignments.

  • Obtain expected safety, quality, and production goals.

  • Operate necessary equipment to perform pole inspections.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Do You Have:

  • One (1) year of Utility Pole Inspection Foreman experience.

  • Electric or communications experience.

  • Experience working outdoors.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Accurate attention to detail.

  • Willingness to adhere to safety policies and procedures.

  • Willingness to learn components attached to utility poles.

  • Knowledge of a variety of hand tools and specialized equipment used for assessment and replacement purposes.

  • Ability to read and follow paper maps.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and can meet other physical demands of the job.

  • Ability to walk through rough terrain and work in extreme weather conditions (hot or cold) when required and necessary.

  • Ability to work overtime when workload increases from time to time.

  • Ability to travel regionally with extended time away from home.

Other:

  • Prior outdoor work or military experience is a plus.

  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required to drive company vehicle.
