GovCIO Sr. Enterprise Solutions Architect (Remote) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Solutions Architect tosupport the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Technology (OIT) Health Services Portfolio (HSP)Intake Team. You will work closely with senior OIT partners, other architects, business customers, and functional consultants to develop strategies tooptimizecurrent and future IT investments and solutions. This includescontinuing acomprehensive review of the current state architecture of the customer’s IT systems, assessment of the current vision and plans, andmaintaininga future state enterprise IT architectureas conditions change. You will work with a small team of Solution architects andother technical staff.The environment is dynamic and client needs are evolving; flexibility and forward-thinking views are important for success.

This position will be a fully remote position with core hours of operation from 8 AM to 5PM ET.

Responsibilities

  • Quickly develop a holistic view of the organization’s current IT architecture, business operations, in-flight technology modernization initiatives andfuture plans

  • Build a trusted advisory relationship with Product Line Technical Directors

  • Build/augment technology roadmaps and runways that align with higher organizational strategies and vision

  • Support and defend the Intake process for new work and change requests

  • Monitor/interpret technology memos/policies/directives from higher leadership and recommend approaches

  • Express and defend personal/team dissenting opinions with clarity and diplomacy

  • Proactively and insightfully report/document delivery of value

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Resource Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related fields.

  • 15 or more years of experience managing and providing technical development for complex IT organizations, large and small. Additionalyears of experience can be substituted for a degree

  • Mature written, oral, and visual communication with sensitivity to the perspectives, limitations, and needs of different audiences

  • Demonstrated technical management experience

  • Ability to distill/optimize/simplify complex concepts, diagrams, and reports for consumption by different audiences

  • Over 10 years’ experience as a technical lead or systems or solutions architect

  • Critical thinking

  • Systems thinking

  • Excellent time management

  • Well versed in DevSecOps culture, processes, measures, and tooling

  • Experience in Visio and PowerPoint

  • Experience in the design of enterprise technology

  • Experience in developing future state architecture

  • Experience in researching as-is architectures

  • Experience in developing and / or supporting feature-benefit analyses

  • Demonstrates ability to tailor recommendations into actionable implementation plans

  • Solid experience with Microsoft and other collaborative tools including Teams, SharePoint, Jira, etc.

Preferred Skills and Experience :

  • Experience supporting or leading within the Veterans Affair Office of Information Technology, Veterans Benefits Administration, and/or Veterans Health Administration is a plus

  • SAFe certified orsignificant experiencein SAFe or a SAFe transformation

  • Jira experience

  • Visual remote collaboration tools

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $155,000.00 /Yr.
