Job Summary:

The Military Engines Rapid Response Repair Team is responsible for identifying, expediting, and delivering critical repair capabilities to cost-effectively support and grow Fifth Generation military fleets. Within this team, the Military Engines Rapid Response Repair Industrialization Specialist will be accountable for delivery of rapid response value-stream integration for delivery of repair capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, Manage, Audit, Improve and Correct supplier planning and execution of repair development projects from the development phase to production qualification.

  • Facilitate communication and clarification of technical requirements between Suppliers and Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, and Sourcing teams.

  • Accountable for supplier audits to ensure their ability to meet development schedule’s part performance, delivery, and reliability expectations.

  • Enlist engineering resources, coordinate deviation requests, develop tooling, and work with repair suppliers to ensure alignment to deliver repair capacity.

  • Accountable for leading, tracking and improving supplier repair process development and launch readiness for Source Demonstrated repairs.

  • Oversee resolution of MRO repair andon to expedite delivery of material from the Repair Supply Chain.

  • Validate supplier corrective actions involving design and/or process changes to ensure they are robust, sustainable, and implemented for critical Limiting Factor parts.

  • Working with suppliers -- tier one or tier two.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years in project management, manufacturing engineering, supply chain management, aerospace MRO operations, or USG program management is required; or an advanced degree and 3+ years.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Travel is required up to 20% visiting suppliers and depot operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering and/or Supply Chain Management

  • Ability to communicate and direct supplier activities at the management level, Proven results in meeting customer requirements and expectations.

  • Ability to define and execute a project using project management techniques.

  • Strong technical writing ability and an ability to explain complex issues in a concise and plain manner.

  • Project and program management experience.

  • The ability to communicate and lead effectively.

  • Repair operations or engineering experience a plus

    What is my role type?

  • Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that the responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
