The Pre-Delivery Technician is responsible for the proper installation and operation of truck and trailer mounted equipment as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Read job order and plan work procedures.

  • Document work performed in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Must be proficient in the proper and safe use of hand and air operated tools.

  • Possess a basic understanding of the operation and use of a welder and a cutting torch.

  • Must be capable of installing and troubleshooting basic 12VDC electrical components.

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding the work performed.

  • Advise service manager and/or service writer of any repairs or services which should be performed within the next 3 months.

  • Tag all warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.

  • Ensure interior and exterior of the vehicle are clean when vehicle is returned to the customer.

  • Clean and maintain an orderly stall and general work areas.

  • Other duties beyond this representative listing may be assigned to the essential job duties and responsibilities of this position based on Company needs.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

  • Minimum of three months related experience.

Other Skills and Abilities Required

  • Ability to multi-task under pressure.

  • Maintain safe work environment.

  • Foster a positive customer relationship.
