Waste Connections Landfill District Manager in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Waste Connections is looking for an Landfill District Manager to join our team in Oklahoma City! This is a large and active landfill processing nearly 700k tons annually in an urban environment. We are looking for a dynamic District Manager eager to have a hands on role in every aspect of the business on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead team of heavy equipment operators, laborers, and landfill personnel to meet daily operation needs.

  • Helps develop and execute safety goals.

  • Conducts field inspections and audits of all site personnel to ensure proper work procedures

  • Receives and reviews customer complaints regarding collections programs.

  • Formulates both short-term and long-term goals and action plans for site growth.

  • Participates in regular P&L reviews to ensure budgets labor and material costs are met

  • Oversees a variety of complex compliance programs, including environmental, DOT, OSHA, and local permitting.

  • Typical schedule for this role is Monday-Friday, 6:30am-5pm, with some Saturdays.

Requirements:

  • Previous leadership experience in a heavy equipment setting

  • 2 or more years of managing in a people driven environment preferred

  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and EPA guidelines

  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel/Word and the ability to learn and use company specialized applications

  • Must be detail oriented, highly accountable and able to prioritize tasks

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or relevant experience
