Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an AWS Engineer to join the team of a payment processor company and will be responsible for designing, building, and managing cloud-based applications and services using Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Responsibilities:

 Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud-based infrastructure solutions.

 Deploy and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based services and applications.

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions on AWS.

 Develop automation scripts and tools for provisioning, monitoring, and managing cloud resources.

 Monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies to ensure high availability and efficiency.

 Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, network, and security.

 Stay updated with the latest AWS services, best practices, and industry trends.

 Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for critical incidents.

Skills and Requirements

AWS Services: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with various AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.

 Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK for automating infrastructure provisioning and management.

 Networking: Strong understanding of networking concepts including VPC, subnetting, routing, VPN, and Direct Connect.

 Security: Experience implementing security best practices and compliance standards on AWS, including IAM policies, encryption, security groups, and monitoring tools like AWS CloudTrail and AWS Config.

 Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation of repetitive tasks and infrastructure management.

 Monitoring and Logging: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like AWS CloudWatch, CloudWatch Logs, and third-party solutions for monitoring system performance, resource utilization, and application logs.

 Databases: Understanding of AWS database services like RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, and knowledge of database management and optimization.

 DevOps Tools: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and continuous integration tools like Jenkins or AWS Code Pipeline.

 Containerization and Orchestration: Familiarity with Docker containers and container orchestration platforms such as Amazon ECS or Kubernetes.

 Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex issues in a timely manner. Certifications such as

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect

  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator null
