Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores In-House Maintenance Technician in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

**This position will travel via company car and via plane. So, the employee's residence should be within a 75-mile radius from the OKC airport.

BASIC PURPOSE : This primary purpose of this position is to handle maintenance and remodeling work at all Love’s locations nationwide. This is a full-time position, and travel will be involved.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Possess knowledge of general maintenance/remodel duties a plus.

  • Perform extensive remodels with some carpentry, tile, drywall, and concrete work.

  • Handle other duties assigned as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience with maintenance, carpentry, interior and exterior painting, or remodeling is a plus.

  • Experience operating a forklift or other powered lift equipment is a plus.

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work quickly and efficiently.

  • Strong time management skills.

  • Strong work ethic and ability to take direction.

  • Typical Physical Demands:

  • Extensive travel required via company car.

  • The typical work week will be about 67 hours per week, and this person will be expected to work/travel about 75% of weekends.

  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license required.

  • Travel coast to coast with extended nights away from home

  • Requires sitting, bending and stooping.

  • Occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.

  • Climbing and working on ladders; working at height using proper safety equipment.

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.

  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
