The Data Analyst role is responsible for collecting and analyzing data across the business to make informed decisions or assisting other team members and leadership in making sound choices. The position will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights. This professional will work closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and develop reports that organize and display data according to specifications.

Major Duties:

  1. Collect, clean, and analyze data from the credit unions various data sources.
  2. Translate complex data into meaningful insight for business stakeholders.
  3. Utilize SQL programming to design and develop tailored reports.
  4. Collaborate with credit union teams to define report specifications.
  5. Build data extracts from the credit unions core database.
  6. Familiarity with reporting tools and visualization platforms.
  7. Ability to optimize queries for large datasets.
  8. Validate data accuracy and maintain data integrity.
  9. Work closely with credit union staff to understand reporting needs.
  10. Performs data maintenance and administration tasks including research, identification, and coordinating the resolution of data issues.
  11. Participate in the evaluation, recommendation, and selection of data warehouse components, including ETL (Extract, Translate, and Load), data mining, and metadata management tools.
  12. Interface with third-party vendors for technical support as needed.
  13. Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  14. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  15. Evaluate new technologies and trends in data analytics.
  16. Other duties assigned as needed.

Critical Results:

  1. Ensuring that all defined systems and devices, under your area of responsibility, are fully operational and available to the employees with very little scheduled downtime.

2. Confidentiality and security are maintained regarding information systems assets.

3. Managing operating plans, priorities, projects, and other goals to ensure they are executed in a timely, efficient, and productive manner.

4. Maintaining agreements according to preset timelines for report requests, task assignments and project work; including keeping current with employee requests.

5. That all security and non-security upgrades/updates/patches to defined systems are thoroughly tested and implemented in a timely manner.

6. All activities are efficiently conducted, generally error free, and are completed following the appropriate policies, procedures, operational controls, and compliance controls.

7. Losses, errors, and risks are controlled and mitigated by adhering to all applicable policies and procedures.

8. Provide callback and after-hour support.
