The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer to support the Aging Aircraft Analytics team in the C-32/C-40 Systems Engineering organization, which provides engineering support services for these 757/737NG Commercial Derivative Aircraft. The C-32/C-40 Program is a part of the larger Executive Transport Services & Support (ETS&S) Program which provides sustainment and modification support for the Air Force executive fleet. This Level 2 position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Position Overview:

As a C-32/C-40 Aging Aircraft Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting a team that will help develop the sustainment strategies for these critical national assets that are expected to operate for an additional 20 years, which may be up to 10 years after some of their commercial passenger counterparts retire. This team also directly ties into existing Reliability & Maintainability and Obsolescence activities to provide directed focus on the C-32/C-40 mission. In this role, you will have the opportunity to deeply analyze reliability, obsolescence, and sustainment data to identify opportunities to improve aircraft availability and effectiveness.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform various analyses to optimize platform sustainability for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, product assurance and other specialties into a preferred configuration to ensure C-32/C-40 mission success.

  • Collaborate with other engineering functions to fully execute their scope of work such as Service Engineering, SEIT, and Project Integration

  • Discover new opportunities and solutions for problems by looking beyond current practices and using innovative thinking

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 2+ years of experience working with multiple engineering disciplines necessary to successfully integrate complex hardware on aerospace vehicles

  • Experience with aircraft sustainment or service engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with commercial aircraft and/or military commercial derivative aircraft

  • Experience working with Reliability & Maintainability and/or obsolescence data

Typical Education/Experience :

Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
