The Hertz Corporation Accounts Receivables Supervisor in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

A Day in the Life:

The Collection Supervisor leads the Accounts Receivable team and manages day-today activities and accounts receivable (AR) process. As a Collection Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely collection of outstanding payments, maintaining accurate records, and implementing strategies to minimize AR delinquency. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of collections procedures.

This position is based in Oklahoma City. The starting salary for this position is $55,000.

What You’ll Do:

  • Supervise and provide guidance to a team of collection agents, including monitoring their performance, setting goals, and conducting regular performance evaluations.

  • Develop and implement effective collection strategies to ensure timely and accurate payment of outstanding invoices.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities, including payment arrangements, disputes, and any necessary adjustments.

  • Communicate with customers, both verbally and in writing, to address payment discrepancies, resolve issues, and negotiate payment terms.

  • Analyze AR aging reports and proactively identify delinquent accounts, taking appropriate actions to ensure timely resolution.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Sales, Customer Service, and Accounting, to streamline collection processes and improve overall AR management.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and legal requirements related to collections, and ensure compliance within the team.

  • Prepare and present regular reports to management, providing insights on collection performance, trends, and areas for improvement.

  • Implement and utilize collection software and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and a customer-centric approach.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in collections, accounts receivable, supervisor or related roles, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience

  • In-depth knowledge of collections procedures, credit policies, and financial regulations.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of collection agents.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to negotiate effectively and maintain positive relationships with customers.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate reports, and identify trends.

  • Proficiency in using collection software and tools.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Detail-oriented approach and commitment to maintaining accurate records.

  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and tact.
