Description

We are searching for a meticulous and dedicated Credit Clerk to assist our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The chosen candidate will have a crucial role in our accounting department, with a focus on managing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and handling customer credit inquiries. This role is set within the thriving industry of finance and accounting, offering a dynamic work environment that encourages professional growth.

Responsibilities:

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly to identify outstanding debts and take necessary action for collection.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile account discrepancies.

• Utilize your skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, and Data Entry to ensure smooth operations.

• Comply with all financial regulations and stay updated on the industry's latest practices and advancements.

• Work closely with the finance team to improve financial processes and enhance the overall functioning of the accounting department.

• Assist in preparing reports detailing credit and collection activity as required.

• Participate in departmental audits and assist with the implementation of audit recommendations.

Requirements • Proven experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation processes

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures

• Experience with Billing tasks and procedures

• Proficiency in Data Entry tasks and related software

• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles

• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel

• Comfortable working with financial and numeric data

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Solid understanding of financial and accounting procedures

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
