DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The responsibilities of this position include assessing the ratings of examined components, pinpointing required repairs, and arranging them in order of importance for approval by the manager. It is crucial to detect structural weaknesses and safety hazards in different buildings. Moreover, you will need to evaluate the seriousness of issues and promptly inform the relevant management personnel of any critical problems if unable to resolve them at the current level. For example, if there is a hole in a structural section of a platform that needs immediate attention, maintenance must be notified right away. If a building is in danger of imminent collapse, access might have to be restricted until higher authorities can evaluate the situation.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Oil City.
• Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
• One year as an Engineering Technician (commonwealth title); or
• Two years as a Transportation Technician or Construction Cost Technician 1 (commonwealth titles); or
• Three years of experience in highway or bridge surveying, design, construction, or inspection work; or
• Three years of experience in quality control of materials or building or construction industry experience, which includes reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, or schematics; or
• One year of construction inspection experience, and an associate's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, geotechnical engineering, surveying engineering technology, or a closely related engineering technology; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirement:

• This position requires possession of an active non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License or equivalent.
