Responsibilities Description: In this role you will: Ensure that purchasing/planning workbenches and miscellaneous purchase requests are processed on a daily basis by creating purchase orders and jobs for parts, equipment and supplies from a global base of suppliers. Follow-up on existing purchase orders by inputting vendor confirmations and modifications Follow up and expedite material as required to meet production and delivery expectations. Work with vendors on any delivery, quality, or additional issues that may arise. Sourcing and quoting of machined and fabricated parts per print, as well as manufactured components over a broad range of commodities to satisfy demand from workbenches and miscellaneous requests. Actively communicate with Customer Support, Technical Support and Logistics to ensure prompt material deliveries according to customer expectations and delivery schedules. Work with all departments and external suppliers to develop and maintain a seamless supply chain. Provide Supply Chain Management with requested analytical data to develop cost savings opportunities and monitor performance goals. Lead/participate in approved re-sourcing projects. Manage inventory in a multi-warehouse, global environment by reviewing and analyzing ad hoc data, formalized reports, and feedback from customers, to review and adjust stocking levels to assure adequate inventory to meet current and future customer needs. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent of experience and training that provides required knowledge, skills and abilities. Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of buying experience. Global purchasing, global logistics, or purchasing in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience with MRP/ERP systems. (Syteline preferred) High level of analytical ability and demonstrated maturity to make decisions and recommendations where problems are complex. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be organized.
