PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Customer Support Service Specialist 1 in Ogden, UT.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support for maintenance, repair, overhaul and preventive measures that ensure continued safe and economic operations for customers.

  • Applies technical knowledge to research, develop, test, and evaluate operations, support programs, modifications, repairs, and technical data. Assists in gathering data to evaluate reported discrepancies.

  • Receives customer reports and correlates to established criteria for reportable events.

  • Provides reports and assistance to system owner in researching events.

  • Assists in preparation of routine in-service correspondence for continued safe and efficient operation and maintenance of equipment.

  • The engineering test technician will work with customers and the Test and Evaluation engineers, setting up and conducting dynamic and environmental tests on systems and equipment to meet customer-defined requirements and testing plans and procedures. She/he will also be responsible for regular maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and repair on test stands and test equipment.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 2 years' related work experience).

  • Need to be able to work well and coordinate with other members of the S&V (Shock and Vibration) Lab team.

  • Need to have a firm grasp of mechanical troubleshooting and repair, tool usage, and adhere to safety requirements and procedures.

  • Need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs., work on feet for extended periods of time, use forklifts, overhead cranes, etc.
