Position Summary

The Division Supply Chain Leader develops and manages the direction and daily activities of the division's materials and services with the focus on people, organization, processes and information technology. This includes the S&OP process to support manufacturing and ensuring timely logistical processing of product.

If hired for this role, you will be…

  • Leading all Supply Chain Management activities within the division while reporting directly to the General Manager of the Division

  • Managing a large, dynamic team of Materials Managers, Commodity Managers, Buyers, Purchasing Specialists and Program Administrators in a variety of aspects of our business and manufacturing operations such as procurement, planning/scheduling, production control, material handling, and shipping/receiving docks, etc.

  • Representing supply chain at the division level with Parker Aerospace and Parker Hannifin while interacting with all levels of division management including Operations, Sales, Engineering, Quality Control, Marketing and Finance.

  • Coordinating best practices with other division supply chain managers and the group supply chain manager.

  • Managing the complete material control process including procurement, production/inventory control, and transportation logistics.

  • A focal point for key suppliers and key customers in negotiating long term contracts in coordination with group staff and policies.

  • Responsible for embracing and driving lean enterprise systems throughout the division’s supply chain and inventory management & manufacturing/production internally and with suppliers externally.

  • Owner of our preferred supplier selection criteria based on supplier evaluations of price, quality, delivery, certifications, compliance with governmental procurement regulations and group programs as well as our crisis management and supplier backup contingency programs

  • Responsible for managing the division's overall strategic production planning practices taking into consideration short term/long term production requirements and integrating materials availability

  • Establishing and implementing standard/automated delivery procedures for just in time supplier stocking items. special order requests, engineering changes and part substitutions, and sales market demand for products.

  • Managing the division’s transportation logistics to ensure distribution of products direct to customers, or through distribution centers / warehouses are completed with optimum service at the most efficient cost.

  • Setting the tone of excellence by providing leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development.

  • Driving a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.

  • A key voice in the implementation of next generation ERP system (SAP).

    Qualifications:

  • Requires at least ten (10) years of leadership experience in supply chain management.

  • Aerospace industry experience highly preferred.

  • Bachelor degree required in business, engineering, or materials management with Master degree strongly preferred.

  • Past or current certification in supply chain management such as APICS strongly preferred.

  • Possesses analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal, communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.

  • Must be an innovator and embrace lean enterprise principles and practices

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
