SUMMARY The Warehouse Clerk/Forklift Driver loads and unloads trucks by use of pallet jack or forklift, loads and prepares shipments to customers accurately and timely, and makes sure production areas are completely stocked with required material throughout the day. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Works safely and follows all safety rules and operational procedures, including forklift inspection reports. · Reads and interprets schedules to ensure timely staging of truck loads/shipments. · Communicates closely and effectively with warehouse lead and supervisors. · Processes LTL and UPS paperwork. · Scans inventory. · Transports finished goods to and from storage to proper location/s. · Loads and unloads box trucks by use of pallet jack and forklift. · Completes shipping paperwork including: * Load tallies/pickup lists * Bill of lading * Builds wood pallets * Posts accurate information on shipping schedule * Quarantines material with potential discrepancies * Safely handles and properly disposes of scrap. * Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, performing any combination of following duties: Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. When receiving, moving, relocating or staging material, ensures that tags are scanned to and from appropriate locations to maintain inventory accuracy. Maintains good housekeeping practices. Breaks down finished goods, per customer orders, and completes all related paperwork. Performs all other duties, as assigned. Conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area, using hand truck, electric dolly, or other device. Works safely and follows all safety rules and operational procedures. Properly inspects forklift and fills out inspection forms as required. Wears and maintains all appropriate PPE as required Understands all safety devices and their operation. Notifies management if safety devices are malfunctioning or missing prior to machine operation. Keeps shipping department clean, organized and safe. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Lifting- Up to 50 lbs. * Standing- 8 or more hours per day. * Walking- Off and on, 4-6 hours per day. * Body Positions- Squatting, bending, flexing and extending both arms. * Grasping- Both hands, up to 8 hours per day * Sitting- None * Pushing Effort- Carts of finished product and tools, up to 75 lbs. * Pulling- Tools and finished product, up to 50 lbs. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: * Basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction.
