Job Overview: The Containment Technician is responsible for safely performing the loading, unloading, transporting, installation and removal of environmental spill prevention containment products. This position requires physical labor in hot and cold atmospheres, team work, attention to detail, problem solving, and safe work habits to be successful in this position. You are required to use good judgement, proper lifting techniques, mechanical advantage, and power equipment when handing material. Responsible for ensuring all transportation equipment as well as the transportation of materials are in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Containment Technician Duties]{noto="" sans",sans-serif"=""}]{noto="" sans",sans-serif"=""}**

  • Follows safe operating practices in accordance with Environment, Safety and Regulatory requirements.
  • Safely rig up and rig down containment products.
  • ses pressure washing equipment to clean used containment products.
  • Wears all required PPE that is appropriate for job scope.
  • Safely operates forklifts and other equipment in accordance with training.
  • Ensures all transportation is complete in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Repair and inventory of containment mats.
  • Monitors co-workers and self to prevent heat/cold illness.
  • Writes a complete and accurate job safety analysis every shift and informs workers of changes in hazards.
  • Conducts a daily safety meeting to include discussion of emergency action plans and relevant identified hazards.
  • Maintains professional appearance and atmosphere at all times.
  • Responds to all emergencies up to the level of their training.
  • Performs other duties as required by management.
