Job Overview:

The primary focus of the Assistant Director, Patient Accounts Training & Education Team is to provide support, oversight, guidance, and strategic direction to the Revenue Cycle Liaison Team. The Revenue Cycle Liaison Team s central purpose is to ensure practice satisfaction, accountability, and operational support as it relates to the success of the Revenue Cycle through partnership with Operations. The Assistant Director is responsible for ensuring that the staff is adequately trained, competent to perform their jobs, and have all of the necessary tools to complete their job functions successfully. The Assistant Director oversees payroll, evaluations, and ensures established departmental performance goals are met. The Assistant Director will ensure that there is excellent inter/intra departmental communication, exemplary customer service, and that alignment with operations supports strategies to mitigate denials and registration errors.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in management/leadership role

  • Minimum of 8 years Revenue Cycle experience

  • Proficient in all MS Office Products

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Essential Functions:

Works in partnership with leaders across the Revenue Cycle

Partners with Clinical, Revenue Integrity, Coding, Billing & Collection staff to improve processes and maximize reimbursement. Uses first-hand feedback for improvements in products and services. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect. Exceptionally responsive to department needs and requests.

Defines and monitors department quality management

Defines roles and responsibilities, applies clear/consistent performance standards, motivates, challenges, and develops employees, delegates effectively, provides feedback and coaching, rewards contributions, manages collaboratively. Monitor internal processes for all functions of the unit, revise and develop consistent protocols for all business that meet the needs and are aligned appropriately with the core values of the organization.

Promotes teamwork

Facilitates and influences decisions by motivating others to achieve excellence in both the quality of work and their approach to team work.

Effectively allocates and schedules resources

Appropriately schedules resources/staff in the unit/department to effectively function to demand. Ensures coverage for all assigned practice locations.

Demonstrates a high level of efficiency, accuracy and productivity

Completes tasks and assignments in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. Remains positive and focused despite obstacles and setbacks. Demonstrates a sense of urgency in completing assignments.

Organizes multiple assignments and/or projects simultaneously to accomplish goals
