Elderlee, Inc. is a diversified corporation specializing in the manufacture and installation of highway safety products. Started in 1946, we are a fourth generation privately owned company with facilities servicing the U.S. east coast. We are currently seeking an energetic candidate to fill the role of Human Resource Generalist in our Phelps NY office. This position will provide human resources support for approximately 150 employees in our NY location.

Primary Responsibilities for the Human Resource Generalist include: Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions. Acquires background checks and employee physicals and drug screening. New-hire orientations. Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state requirements. Attends and participates in employee disciplinary/grievance meetings, etc. Handle confidential matters with discretion.

Qualified candidates will possess the following education/experience and skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to understand and interpret contractual language. Associate degree (A. A.) in Human Resource or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
