ITS Technologies & Logistics Dispatcher in Oakland, California

Overview

ConGlobal is the industry-leading provider of intermodal rail terminal services, auto loading and unloading and container depot services. We take pride in consistently delivering superior service, a broad scope of logistics offerings and an exemplary safety record. We are currently seeking a Dispatcher to join our team.

The Dispatcher will be responsible for executing the dispatch process that supports our Intermodal railyard Terminal Operations. The position will work with the Customer, Intermodal Managers and other operational center personnel to make proactive recommendations and adjustments to facilitate the operation.

Responsibilities

Dispatcher

  • Works one on one with location drivers

  • Develops daily dispatch plans, manage truck capacity needs

  • Ensure all drivers are operating in a safe and efficient manner

  • Work as a liaison between our customer and the driver

  • Must maintain accurate records and paperwork

  • Data Entry

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Dispatch experience with Company Drivers and Owner Operators

  • Electronic dispatch experience preferred

  • Must have exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through ability

  • Strong organization and multi-task skills

  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must be familiar with dispatch, TMS and MS Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.)

  • This position may require to work outside of normal business hours when required, including some holidays and maybe weekends

  • Knowledge of State and Federal DOT regulations

  • Minimum 1 year Intermodal experience
