JOB REQUIREMENTS: As the Customer Support Chemist (Entry), you will support and contribute to the APA Decorative market segment through the development and formulation of new coatings that reflect quality and meet customer requirements. You will be a member of the Automotive Parts and Accessories organization, reporting to the Customer Manager. You will also interact with plant production personnel, Marketing Services, and QA personnel to assist with problem resolution as it pertains to formulation issues. You will support both team and your own; as such will work within a dynamic team and will collaborate on documentation and problem resolution. Responsivities: Adhere to all PPG safety protocols and encourage a broad safety culture in a laboratory work environment. Actively and positively contributes in a team environment, effectively collaborates with team members, and supports team engagement initiatives. Effectively communicates results and observations to direct supervisor, as required Maintains an accurate, neat notebook. Documents all observations, including unusual results. Demonstrates initiative and drive through accomplishing tasks. Follows through on mutually agreed upon dates and goals. Accepts and effectively uses feedback.
