Actalent Plumbing Inspector in OAK CREEK, Wisconsin

This is a 6-9 month contract role for a Plumber to help with a hospital renovation project!

Responsibilities:

  • Perform field inspections during various stages of construction

  • Review plans and specifications for commercial, industrial, and residential projects to ensure compliance with city, state, and federal laws and regulations

  • Perform inspections for healthcare projects in accordance with municipal ordinances and regulations

  • Report violations and maintain files/records

  • Perform other related duties as required

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of local mechanical building codes and current construction procedures and technology.

  • Interpretation of codes in the field and ability to provide code compliant solutions

  • Must possess the ability to positively interact with the other staff members, the general public, contractors, governmental entities, and other clientele

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Good time management, organization, and attention to detail skills

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and a considerable amount of independent judgment

  • Skill in prioritizing and executing assignments with limited supervision. Skill in using independent judgment and discretion.

  • Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously.

Education/Certification and Experience:

  • Must be licensed as a Plumbing Inspector through the state of Wisconsin
