GE Healthcare Harvest Manufacturing Engineer in Oak Creek, Wisconsin

Job Description Summary

Manufacturing engineer responsible for harvest operation at the Repair Operation Center (ROC) in Oak Creek, WI. This role is responsible for process development and support including driving safety, quality and efficiency for the line. The harvest operation includes disassembly of large medical devices to process components for re-use in manufacturing. As operations at the site expands, additional operations may be included in role.

Roles and Responsibilities

Define standards and controls for production process and equipment within budget and time constraints.

Establish safe and ergonomic processes/practices that comply with applicable regulations.

Lead compliance activities including process documentation, validation of equipment/process and corrective/preventive actions.

Drive lean improvements to reduce cycle time and eliminate waste.

Use expertise to identify opportunities and lead decision making process.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, or Associates degree with at least 4 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or engineering

Strong oral and written communication skills

Desired Characteristics

Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

Established project management skills

Experience using a Quality Management System in a highly regulated environment

Experience working with heavy mechanical assemblies

Lean experience
