The database team currently supports multiple database technologies, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redis. The ideal candidate is passionate about databases, be highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses a leadership mindset.Role* Be a problem solver and help to deliver timely complex initiatives and projects, including high available, extreme performance and localization efforts.* Manage a team including goal setting, performance appraisal processes, and providing timely feedback.* Contribute to financial analysis, planning, and forecasting to reduce total cost of ownership and allocate resources efficiently.* Lead and manage a diverse, multi-disciplinary global database team.* 24x7 on-call duties may be required to support global operations and acts as an escalation point for technical issues within the database technologies and related infrastructure components.* Assists with process improvement efforts to identify opportunities for efficiency, automation and/or reduction in time to deployment.. Work with Development Team to prioritize and deliver what is needed for business, challenge the status quo, work through the processes to bring efficiency rather than getting in the way.All About You* Appreciation and understanding of database technologies including security, distributed deployments, architecture, networking, Cloud, and administration functions.* Relational database technical background, preferably Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
