The Decision Operations team manages and maintains the components that are critical to the DMP platform and its globally distributed architecture. We are looking for a Lead Software Development Engineer to join us on this amazing journey as we succeed on many tremendous opportunities ahead.

Role Technically Lead a team of talented developers to develop high-performance, high-volume Java decision processing applications Plan, design and develop technical solutions and alternatives to meet business requirements in adherence with MasterCard standards, processes and best practices Work closely with partner technical leads and architects Assist with support issues by troubleshooting incidents and problem tickets Possess the aptitude to quickly learn and contribute to our complex platform Provide technical expertise to ensure effective delivery of software capabilities and be an integral part of the Agile SAFe discover and elaboration sessions Participate in PoCs (Proof of Concept) and help the Department with selection of Vendor Solutions, Technologies, Methodologies and Frameworks. Perform code reviews of co-workers deliverables to ensure best practices Provide strong people leadership and tech guidance to junior team members - lead with a technical vision

All About You Considerate, polite, fun-loving, collaborative Advanced organizational and communication skills: both verbal and written. Advanced in Linux, Spring Framework (including Spring Boot) and Java development (JDK 1.7 or greater), design patterns, threading, unit testing, debugging. Good understanding of agile software development processes, ideally a knowledge of SAFe Competent with many of the following: JBoss, Tomcat, shell scripting, JSON, multi-threading, Maven, Oracle PL/SQL Expertise with Eclipse or IntelliJ and ability to compile, deploy, and execute code artifacts Nice to have that will set you apart - proven experience in developing cloud ready microservices, Messaging (MQ and JMS) and Business rules execution systems (IBM Operational Decision Manager - formerly ILOG)
