What part will you play?

  • It is your responsibility to define the software architecture to meet our future-oriented challenges in the area of digital grid software applications

  • The focus is on defining a modular software architecture developed for the cloud, based on modern technologies such as Angular, microfrontends, microservices, container orchestration (Kubernetes), graph databases, data streaming / streaming analytics and other big data technologies

  • You define the software architecture in our Agile Release Trains and accompany the implementation in the development teams at our international development locations

  • You work closely with other architects and the development teams and actively drive change and projects with your strong communication skills and goal orientation

  • In addition to functional requirements, non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, redundancy, cyber security, CI/CD, etc. are of great importance

  • You are actively involved in our community of practice for software architecture and thus contribute to the design of our grid software products

What you need to make real what matters.

  • You have a successfully completed Master's degree in a technical field or a comparable qualification

  • You are a certified software architect (e.g. SSWA from the Siemens Core Learning Program or iSAQB® Certified Professional for Software Architecture (CPSA) - Advanced Level) or have comparable experience

  • You have many years of practical professional experience in defining software architectures for software products in the cloud, preferably on AWS

  • Moreover, you have gained practical experience in the field of microservice architectures, containerization, data streaming/streaming analytics and AWS technologies

  • You are well versed in architectures for highly available services and are familiar with the challenges of big data technologies

  • Furthermore, you enjoy working in an agile environment (SAFe framework) and preparing and presenting complex issues in a target group-oriented manner

  • Very good German and English skills, as well as experience of working in a global and intercultural team round off your profile
