We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Senior Manager, Human Resources within our HR team to help support our Automotive business. Did you know we are the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of seating support and comfort systems for transportation manufacturers, as well as tier one and two suppliers within the automotive industry? Our automotive products fall into four primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support, Wireless Charging, Motors and Actuators, and Mechanical Cables. If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.

In this role, you will contribute to define and implement the People Excellence strategy in order to achieve business objectives in own local organization, leading and facilitating the change. You will also serve as business partner to the regional management team on HR-related topics for Europe.

So, what will you be doing as the Senior Manager, Human Resources?

  • Ensure European HRBP's/HR Managers are timely and accurate with HR Operational tasks.(e.g. headcount planning, KPI maintaining, recruiting, etc)

  • Execute European HR strategic objectives as defined by HR VP and HR Director

  • Act as an integral business partner by support deriving the people agenda from business strategies and supporting leaders in developing their teams

  • Hire, promote and develop a strong regional HR team in Europe

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • University degree in business administration with focus on human resources or equivalent is preferred

  • Certification as a professional coach is desirable

  • 5-7 years proven work experience in a Human Resources role at 2 or more manufacturing facilities

  • International leadership experience (2+ years)

  • A customer-obsessed and results oriented HR team player with strong hands-on mentality

  • Strong ability to prioritize, high level of commitment, personal initiative and independent workstyle

  • Good knowledge of Change Management combined with a strong team orientation, communication skills and the ability to navigate within a fast-paced matrix environment

  • Knowledge & experience of industrial relationship

  • Displays energy, confidence and takes ownership

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and German

  • Strong knowledge of performance & talent management

  • Proven experience in financial acumen, compensation & benefits as well as workforce planning & analytics
