For the location NBG H, we are looking for a dedicated Commercial Sales and Bid Manager (m/w/d) for the fast growing Business Unit Grid Software (GridSW). You manage all commercial and financial topics throughout the entire sales process, i.e., from opportunity development to contract conclusion enabling the energy transition with our software solutions and helping our customers to master their digitalization challenge. You will collaborate with the internationally positioned team of Grid Control (GC) Sales and Bid Management, cross-functional units within GridSW and within Siemens, and the international GridSW community.

What part will you play?

  • You work with the responsible Sales Managers to define and develop the sales strategy for the assigned international countries. You are involved in defining the opportunities in the CRM tool, Salesforce, ensuring continuous data quality during the lifetime of the opportunity, and tracking the actual bookings.

  • You are responsible for Grid Control opportunities including complex software deals with a wide range of business models and customers around the globe starting with PM010 until PM080 (PM@Siemens).

  • You develop together with the Sales and Bid Managers the business model and bid strategy. Drive the identification, evaluation and assessment of risk and opportunities, strategies and response activities and take over the full responsibility with respect to all commercial risks and opportunities.

  • You manage and take ownership for all financial and commercial activities during project acquisition: contract analysis, cost calculation, cashflow projection, business model, taxation, PE- avoidance, risks and opportunities, FX-management, guarantees etc.

  • You prepare and present bids (LoA) to respective management levels involved in our headquarter.

  • You negotiate with the potential customers T&Cs and if required consortium contracts with potential internal and/or external partners together with your bid team and other internal stakeholders, e.g., Legal.

  • You support the assigned regions during their bid preparation, answering questions and providing guidance for commercial topics.

What you need to make real what matters.

  • You hold a master’s degree, preferably in business administration or related fields and have several years of professional experience.

  • You have relevant commercial experience in a project- or software-driven environment, preferably in sales.

  • Additionally you already started and/or successfully finalized your certification as Commercial Sales/Project Manager.

  • You are ready to take on responsibility and address topics independently and drive them forward. In this regard, you find it easy to learn from mistakes and suggest new ways based on them. New challenges motivate you, and you work with focus and a results-oriented approach to solving them.

  • Enjoy working in an international team and environment and can communicate fluently in English and ideally have a basic knowledge of German.
