City of Novi Temporary Parks & Recreation/Cultural Arts Program Coordinator in Novi, Michigan

Assignment commitment is 30-40 hours per week for approximately 6 months. Assignment may be extended based upon projects to be completed. $19-$22/hr based upon experience.

This position will assist with:

  • Youth Theatre Program
  • Dance Programs
  • Community Music Performance Groups
  • Art Displays and Programs
  • Summer Camps
  • Artist Residency Program
  • Planning for Fall/Winter Programming

Experience/Skills/Traits:

  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Available to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Customer/program management software experience preferred
  • Degree, or relevant college courses, and/or experience preferred

The Novi park system includes 16 developed parks, 4 undeveloped parks, 4 conservation/preservation areas, 14.65 miles of nature trails, 10.11 miles of mountain biking trails, a beach with 100 feet of sandy waterfrontage, an ice arena, a dog park, a senior housing campus, and new splash pad. Plans are being developed for the renovation of our largest sports park. We're home to one of only a few art parks in Michigan with a residency program.
