Job Summary: The Senior Manager Advanced Quality is responsible for providing quality management support to multiple manufacturing site operations within the region. Responsibilities: Provide quality technical support and expertise to the region as needed. Work with Advanced Quality, Manufacturing Quality, and Operations Leadership to ensure proper support of quality deliverables for new product launch and ongoing product manufacturing. Monitor and support compliance to YFAI BOS within the region. This includes ensuring timely and effective resolution of audit nonconformance. Monitor customer needs and ensure a strong level of customer support in the region. Conduct ongoing assessment of regional quality deliverables/metrics. Prioritize areas of opportunity identified in the quality performance gap analyses. Monitor and report on progress to quality gap closure plans. Facilitate development of effective quality strategies and tactics for the region. Monitor and facilitate effective corrective action efforts within the region. Work with Quality Managers and Operations Leadership to establish appropriate development goals for regional quality roles. Assist in the accurate assessment of existing skills and knowledge level for each Quality employee in the region. Facilitate and support the placement of qualified personnel for open Quality positions within the region. Identify and facilitate needed training for Quality personnel. Personally conduct Quality training as needed. Work with Quality Director to identify and develop high potential Quality employees for Strategic Talent purposes. Promote and drive Quality certification of all Quality personnel (such as CQE, CQM, and CQA). Conduct all work activities following company safety policies and procedures. Demonstrate Acceptable behaviors per the YF Leadership Expectations Model in the area of Leading Self (demonstrates integrity, shows respect for others, communicates and influences, focuses on the customer, drives for results, thinks analytically, demonstrates professional expertise). Related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or Science related field 10 years of relevant Quality work experience. Relevant automotive Safety Restraint quality leadership experience (5 years minimum). Relevant Quality staff leadership experience (5 years minimum). A record of formal leadership/management training is highly desirable. Relevant experience with training, including preparation and delivery of Quality training. Broad knowledge of Advanced Quality Planning, including strong proficiency with the AIAG Advanced Quality Planning and Control Plan, FMEAs, PPAPs, MSA and Statistical Process Control (SPC) standards. Knowledge of statistical concepts, design of experiments and problem-solving methodology is required. Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience. Black Belt certification and experience with Minitab software is highly desirable. Strong knowledge in quality philosophy and strategy. Proficient in use of a computer and common office software (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation skills. Ability to work in a self-directed environment. Good mechanical/technical skills and ability to read engineering drawings are desirable. GD&T proficiency is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills are required, including experience preparing problem solving documents such as 8Ds. American Society for Quality membership and certification, such as current CQE status, is highly desirable. Experience with ISO/QS/TS Quality Systems is required. Lead Auditor certification is highly desirable. Experience working directly with customers and suppliers, particularly automotive related.
