Multimatic Sales and Marketing Inc. Product Engineer (Job Code: 1003) in Novi, Michigan

Responsible for acting as the technical engineering lead liaison between OEM and Multimatic divisions; provide product engineering and account management to business units, manufacturing sites, and customers related to product development and engineering of structures, IP beams and bumpers for the automotive industry; execute program timing, costs, and weight attributes; initiate RFQs and resolve manufacturing and engineering concerns related to product development; identify and support the pursuit of new business opportunities which satisfy the needs of the company, and current and future business; provide (from OEM) necessary information required to develop quote responses, engineering change orders, quality support, timing requirements, prototype build schedules, and preproduction build; lead Open Issues meetings with Multimatic manufacturing facilities, OEM customer, Tier-2 suppliers, and others as necessary; publish meeting outcomes, and track progress both internally and externally via Open Issues List; publish minutes including documentation of reasons for requests, changes, and costs; utilize Teamcenter, Siemens NX, and JT for product development process; exchange engineering information between Multimatic, customer, and customer teams; collaborate with internal Technical Service Managers and Program Managers, ensuring optimal results; participate and assist with cost saving initiatives to meet annual targets; coordinate inspection and analysis of warranty return parts; communicate with customer warranty groups and centers; coordinate full cycle inspection; and analyze warranty return parts with internal business unit teams.

 

Location: Novi, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US;

Salary: $86,660 per year;

Education: Master's Degree in Automotive Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);

Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Design & Release Engineer, as a Mechanical Engineer, or in a related occupation;
