Senior HR Business Partner

Our manufacturing client is seeking an HR business partner consultant for a long-term engagement. This hybrid position is located in Novi Michigan and will report directly to the VP of Human Resources.

The day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Develops strong partnerships and builds trust and credibility with senior executives and business leaders to provide thought leadership on people-related strategies, including talent management, performance management, employee engagement, and leader development.

  • Partners with the business to determine the right organizational structure, skills, and capabilities required to deliver the strategy.

  • Collaborates with Human Resources colleagues on global project work.

  • Serves as a consultant and coach on challenging employee relations issues while demonstrating strong and effective problem-solving capabilities for complex people issues.

  • Leads by example, demonstrates integrity, and partners with leaders to set the tone for the culture required to create an engaging environment where employees can do their best work.

  • Collaboratively works with global Human Resources team to ensure development and execution of best-in-class processes on how we attract, hire, develop, and retain our talent.

  • Represents organization to ensure all investigations, inquiries, terminations for cause, and employee separations respectively and according to local laws and requirements.

  • Effectively analyzes data to ensure workforce is paid appropriately through annual merit process, hiring, transfers, promotions, etc.

    Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

  • Experience in HR roles, particularly in areas such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.

  • Deep understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.

  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other HR technology platforms.

  • Strong understanding of financial concepts and how HR initiatives impact the bottom line.

  • Strong analytical skills, proven track record of business partnership and solutions provider.

  • Strong ability to collaborate across diverse teams, cultures, and all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to align HR strategies with business objectives.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively communicate HR policies, procedures, and initiatives to employees and management.

  • Strong presentation skills for delivering training programs or reports to stakeholders.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Experience collaborating with various departments to implement HR initiatives.

  • Skills in negotiation and influence to navigate complex situations.

  • Ability to influence executive leaders as well as partner with leaders and their teams at every level of the organization.

  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources; 3+ years partnering with C-Suite leaders.
