What will I be doing?

As an Assistant Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for all maintenance issues within the hotel, managing the maintenance team, daily, routine maintenance. First contact for all departmental requests including urgent repairs, completing all requests in a timely manner. Maintaining the mechanical equipment, plant rooms, public areas, meeting room and guestrooms to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Responsible for and first contact for the maintenance issues within the hotel
  • Responsible for managing the day to day tasks and planning works in for the maintenance team
  • Responsible for all weekly, monthly, quarterly, 6 monthly routine maintenance
  • Developing the team, training, monthly 1-1 meetings
  • Attending daily morning briefs, health & safety meetings
  • Managing contractors on site, issuing permits, reviewing RAMS
  • Maintaining accurate engineering files and PPM visits
  • Maintenance of all hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure they are in safe condition and take action when any unsafe situations arise
  • Develop, implement, and direct all emergency programs
  • Develop, implement and manage energy conservation programs for the property to minimize expenses, monthly meter readings, energy reduction, update lightstay
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
  • Responsible for the health and safety of the hotel
  • Action all fire risk assessments and health & safety audits

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • First Aid
  • Vocational training in engineering or similar field
