JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Training and Recruitment Coordinator

Responsible to: Director of Human Resources

Responsible for:

Implementing a coordinated training program for all agency staff that promotes the mission and values of the organization, maintains licensing requirements and develops personnel for advancement. General administrative services supporting all phases of human resource recruitment.

Major Responsibilities: Training

  • Schedule, coordinate and implement five-day new employee training program on a monthly basis
  • Secure speakers and coordinate advanced training programs for staff development

(i.e. stress management, management training, supervision skills, computer skills, defensive driving, budgeting, etc)

  • Review, distribute and enroll employees in training programs offered by outside organizations ( i.e. CAN, CCPA, Workers Comp, ArcCT etc.)
  • Coordinate annual employee trainings to comply with state licensing requirements
  • Maintain all training records (both electronic and hard copy) to comply with state licensing requirements including PSL renewals; medication certification
  • Assist managers and staff with a training/education plan to lead to promotion within the agency
  • Coordinate Medication Administration certification including registering employees for Med class, scheduling exams, proctor in-house med exams, coordinate pass and pour and complete all paperwork to comply with state licensing requirements
  • Develop and coordinate in-house staff enrichment programs
  • Liaison with Department of Developmental Services staff in all areas of training and medication certification and accident injury reports
  • Process Department of Developmental Services 255 incident reports and 255m medication error reports and review for areas where additional staff training may be needed
  • Secure trainers for monthly CPR and First Aid

  • Coordinate the use of, and train employees to access online training such as Relias

  • Schedule Pension Advisor to meet with employees on quarterly basis
  • Provide one-one training to employees needing retraining or special assistance
  • Assist in-house employee trainers with presentation materials, presentation skills and feedback and fill-in for trainers when appropriate.
  • Attend quarterly internal safety committee meetings to discuss and uncover areas for additional staff training.
  • Computer input and generation of reports regarding employee information and training records.

  • Maintain training materials and equipment in good order and supply and make recommendations for new purchases to Executive Director

Recruitment

  • Serve as active member on agency hiring team and point of contact for candidate inquires.
  • Assist with recruitment and screening of job applicants.
  • Assist with applicant tracking and follow-up when needed.

  • Coordinate Job Fairs when requested

  • Conduct pre-Employment orientation.
  • Represent agency at meetings deemed appropriate by Director of Human Resources.

Other Duties:

  • Use sound judgment in handling privileged information relating to internal affairs of the agency. Protect the confidentiality of employee records.
