Description

Summary:

This position mandates that this technologist be credentialed as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist and PET/CT Technologist. In addition, this position will be split between Norwalk Hospital and our IPark

location.

Performs all Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT procedures.

Screens patient for contraindications to exam, checks for special instructions and correct examination. Properly monitors patient throughout procedure and provide efficient, compassionate patient care.

Performs daily QC of all equipment and reports negative findings to supervisor or RSO. Completes daily, weekly, quarterly, and yearly equipment QA and QC procedures. Notifies vendor of any equipment problems and notifies supervisor of service calls and repairs

ARRT Registered in Radiologic Technology in Nuclear Medicine or CNMT Certification in Nuclear Medicine; responsible for maintaining CE credits for ARRT and ACR Nuclear Medicine Certification. Experience with PET/CT.
