Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop. Attendant, Garden Shop Seasonal Job – Estimated pay range $ 16-$18 depending on qualifications and experience. Must be at least 18 years and older. Position Description: The Garden Shop Team Leader supervises, guides, and motivates team members to deliver excellent customer service and the highest quality products. Team Leaders provide assistance to management in hiring and training new team members, updating management on team member performance and acts as a liaison between team members and upper management. Your day-to-day: + Willing to learn the seasonality of Garden Shop products, including Spring, Fall and Christmas products. + Ensure displays are full and merchandised, with appropriate signage + Provides quality customer service, including interacting with customers, answering customer inquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints + Other projects, as needed Qualifications: + Knowledge of plants a plus but not required + Safely operate a forklift and all other equipment used in the day to day operation of the garden shop + Demonstrate safe usage of box cutters, skid sheers and other hand tools + Demonstrate a vast knowledge of plants, garden equipment, Christmas trees + Great customer service skills + Good communication skills, both written and oral + Good organizational skills + The ability to multi-task What you bring to the team: + Lead by example + Excellent work ethic + Excellent interpersonal skill + Honest + The ability to problem solver + Flexible Working Conditions: + The garden shop is a seasonal outdoor department and exposure to weather is possible, such as extreme heat or cold, rain or snow, etc. + The position requires frequent walking, standing, and lifting with a maximum of 100lbs and occasional climbing, pulling, pushing, and reaching Satisfy: + Greet customers with a friendly smile and positive attitude, ensuring that each customer feels welcome and appreciated.
