Environmental Services & Floor Care Lead

Evening Shift - 3:00 to 11:30 p.m.

Rate: 19.29 to mid 20's per hour based on years of experience.

Requirements:

High school graduate or G.E.D.

Knowledge and previous experience with floor care.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in housekeeping and/or transport, preferably in a health care environment.

Good English language communication skills.

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs of equipment.

Ability to train others.

Experience with computers.

Good telephone and listening skills.

Strong customer service skills in dealing with employees, patients and staff employees.

The Environmental Services & Floor Care Leadperforms higher level task and services different functions in the Environmental services Department. Assists with the daily operation of the department, work tasks, distribution & care of equipment, training & orienting staff and interdepartmental communications.

Is an integral part of the patient care team, providing prompt, courteous, customer oriented services to patients, visitors, and co-workers in the areas of Patient/Item Transport. They contribute to the patient's satisfaction by fostering collaboration among and between team members as well as other ancillary departments. Employees must be able to readily adjust to change and handle a rapid-paced environment and the stresses associated with the job, while continuing to provide high-quality, efficient service.

Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure. Ensures all chemicals are diluted to the proper ratio and that all chemicals are properly labeled and locked up when not in use. · Follows all infection control practices including hand washing techniques, Standard Precautions and isolation precautions. Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and disinfectant according to procedure and cleaning routine to prevent the spread of infection. · Observes and reports the need for repairs to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures and collaborates with management to create a plan of action to address identified issues. · Schedules, plans and implements special projects as needed. · Trains other EVS associates on new processes and equipment. · Provides leadership, support and training to the housekeeping staff and reassigns staff as needed. · Coordinates and oversees all assigned tasks on weekdays, weekends and holidays. · Provides input and makes recommendations for EVS associates staff reviews. · Ability to do work on his/her own without supervision.

On the Floor care Project: Demonstrate the ability to operate all assign floor care machines for Stripping and refinishing, burnishing, carpet cleaning carpet extraction, shampooing. Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment. Perform maintenance and restorative process for all floor surfaces types.

Requirements:
