Colon and Rectal Surgery Opportunity in Norwalk, Connecticut (One hour from New York City)

The Department of Surgery at Norwalk Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, is seeking a full-time dedicated Colon and Rectal Surgeon to join our growing program. Norwalk Hospital is located about one hour outside of New York City in suburban Fairfield County, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will be board certified in general surgery and have additional Colon and Rectal Surgery fellowship training and be board certified/eligible in Colorectal Surgery. Norwalk Hospital is NAPRC accredited. Our team provides multi-disciplinary care working with other specialists in our Cancer and Digestive Health Institutes.

Responsibilities include clinical care and teaching surgical PA students, residents and rotating medical students. Faculty appointments are available through our affiliations with the University of Vermont and Ross University Schools of Medicine. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including allowances for professional dues, CME and relocation expenses.

Norwalk Hospital is a 366-bed community teaching hospital in coastal southwestern Connecticut. One of the oldest established ACS verified level II trauma centers in Connecticut, Trauma/Acute Care coverage is provided 24/7 by our team of board certified Surgeons and Surgical Physician Assistants, in addition to the PA residents training in our nationally renowned Surgical PA Residency Program.

Norwalk Hospital is ideally situated in Fairfield County, Connecticut, along the Long Island Sound. The city of Norwalk is rich in cultural diversity and offers many venues for four season outdoor and indoor recreational activiities. There are excellent public and private schools and universities in our area. New York City is easily accessible by car or train.
