ZF North America, Inc. Engineering Supervisor for Quality in Northville, Michigan

Job Duties: Responsible to lead all aspects of quality assurance for ZF's Chassis Technology (CT) group for assigned OEM(s) in North American market; Lead a team of customer quality personnel to complete customer quality activities; Lead quality assurance projects & assign personnel accordingly, ensuring quality control policies are in place and executed to ensure quality of ZF products & activities in the market; Communicate across global quality assurance organization & keep customer informed; Steer all quality aspects of CT group in the market (e.g., formulate quality control policies, evaluate operations & team performance, review work of personnel, maintain records, enforce rules, hire/fire recommendations); Serve as contact to customer for quality issues; Collect information about CT global quality situation & quality expectations in market; Understand, follow customer quality systems & procedures; Coordinate customer corrective & preventative quality subjects; Lead on-site (at customer plants) sorting activities with production plant quality organizations; Attend customer audits; Coordinate local ISO/IATF best practices & standards; and Coordinate ISO/IATF NRT audits. A Hybrid (in-office and telecommute) work schedule is available. Position requires up to 60% travel to domestic and international locations.

Minimum Requirements: 

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, plus 2 years of experience in occupations in which engineering experience is gained, and demonstrated experience with: Reclamation Management System (RMS) software for tracking customer claims; Audit processes; Production control methods (including: APQP, PPAP, and incoming inspection); IATF standards; Process flow charts; FMEAs; Control plans; SAP; and DRW Interpretation.
