Job Overview

Route Settlement Specialist – Northlake, IL

The Route Settlement Specialist is responsible for the accurate settlement of delivery route case sales, route cash deposits and validation of route variances. Route Settlement Specialist will receive funds from Delivery Drivers, record monetary transactions, and/or issue receipts for funds received. Route Settlement Specialist will also perform administrative tasks such as data entry, general inventory duties, reporting etc.

Position Shift and Schedule

This is a Part-time permanent position working Monday through Friday from 12pm to 4pm. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays are required as scheduled/need.

Position Responsibilities

  • Account for money collected daily from assigned routes.

  • Collect settlement packets and record all payments received from Delivery Drivers.

  • Review and verify that all invoices have been received as listed on sales report.

  • Identify and record problems for driver supervisor to review.

  • Post any discrepancies in invoice totals compared to cash collected.

  • Scan checks and money orders received, directly to bank, processed daily.

  • Prepare bank deposit and other necessary paperwork for daily log.

  • Research and resolve route related items as needed.

  • Document any errors and variances thoroughly.

  • Scan in POD paperwork daily and save in corresponding folders.

  • Process and submit Refund requests.

  • Assist Delivery team with office clerical duties as needed.

  • Other tasks as needed and directed by supervisor.

Total Rewards

  • Pay starting at $18.54 per hour.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)

  • 1 year experience with Ten key by touch

  • 1 year cashier/cash handling experience

  • 1 year experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)

  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
