Aerotek Service Technician in Northbrook, Illinois

Description:

As a Service Technician, you will focus on troubleshooting and repairing military grade positioners and camera systems as well as maintain maintenance repair records.

1st Shift: 5:30am - 2:30pm

Pay $24-$29/hr.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Restore electrical/mechanical positioners and camera systems back to operational condition

  • Programming and testing of microcontroller based electronic circuit board layout

  • Prepare wire harnesses as shown in blueprints/schematics

  • Crimping and soldering of electrical boards

  • Test and replace motors as necessary

  • Test, adjust, and/or replace mechanical components: Gears, sprockets, bearings, and chains

  • Lubricate mechanical components

  • Test, adjust, and replace camera sensors and lenses

  • Help manufacturing assembly department test newly built products

  • Experience replacing and troubleshooting mechanical components

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent diploma with 5+ years of related technical experience required

  • 2+ years of experience with motor controls, electro-mechanical systems, standard electrical components, circuit cards, wiring

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics

  • Wiring experience

  • Use of multimeter

  • Use of mechanical tools

  • Ability to lift 50lbs

  • Small motor assembly knowledge
