About the role This individual is responsible for managing medium to high complex product application projects. It will involve engaging with customers and internal personnel to ensure the project demands are understood, satisfactory solutions are developed, products are manufactured and packaged per the plan, and the final installation exceeds customer expectations. This individual does not have a direct supervisory responsibility but has contact with virtually all departments within Leviton including Product Management, Manufacturing, QA, Marketing, Sourcing, Customer Service, and others. Creates a collaborative team atmosphere that understands and delivers the project objectives. Responsibilities Leads and facilitates cross-functional teams through all phases of the project from initial discussions through product installation Ability to understand the business objectives of the project and assumes accountability for success of the program against those objectives Develops, manages and reports on the project plan, schedule and budget with input from various support functions and leadership team. Identifies and recommends resources needed to meet project objectives including but not limited to headcount additions and financial expenses Applies sound meeting management techniques; provides agendas and manages to them, generating and publishing meeting minutes with associated action items, etc. Assists the team in resolving roadblocks and other issues that arise. Proactively seek management assistance as needed Encourages an atmosphere of team participation and accountability Is responsible for informing the internal team on all project details and timelines. Additional duties as assigned Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's Degre required Minimum of 5 years of project management experience New product development experience using phase/gate processes from a manufacturing company Excellent organizational and presentation skills Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Project Skills & Abilities Highly developed level of creative skills and resourcefulness is required to interact with other department disciplines to problem solve and drive results Ability to define and implement solutions to problems resulting from processes or procedural issues Ability to effectively generate and execute presentations to senior level management and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and the general public Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to motivate a team including individuals in other departments Experience or understanding of architectural design and construction process, a plus Travel 10% travel Leviton is an EEO/AA Employer.
