State of Massachusetts Student Intern Undergrad - WM Quality Mgt. in Northampton, Massachusetts

The Department of Mental Health is seeking to hire an intern who will support the Western Massachusetts Area (WMA) to develop technical guidance and training materials for several quality related initiatives underway in the Area: transition from paper to electronic documentation for people who receive DMH services, transition into a new adverse event monitoring system, and enhanced contract compliance and monitoring. The intern will work at the DMH Western MA Area Office, located in Northampton, within the Division of Quality Management, and will receive guidance and direction from leadership staff to ensure that materials developed are engaging for adult learners while also remaining technically accurate. The ideal candidate will be familiar with developing materials that are intended to familiarize others with new concepts. Preferably, they will have familiarity and experience with creating learning tools, such as study guides, and be comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite tools to do so. A component of the internship will include opportunities to practice public presentations and deliver trainings, however, public speaking is not a requirement of this position. _Preferred Qualifications_ Interest in human services and data collection, ability to ask for guidance, and to work both in a team and independently. _Period of Service:_ May 28, 2024 through August 30, 2024 _Additional Information:_ Benefits are unavailable with the exception of sick leave accruals. All employees will be paid on a biweekly basis and must have direct deposit. The salary for this position is$18an hour.
