We are seeking a Facility Mechanical Specialist to join our team in NET! This role will support Enbridge's New Energy Technology (NET) strategy by supporting projects and developing technical standards to advance the energy transition.

The main duty will be to lead the development of specifications for all stages of the asset lifecycles (design, construction commissioning, operations, and integrity management) for Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), Hydrogen, CO2 and Blue/Green Ammonia facilities. This will be done by providing engineering support on facility design in consultation with experts from Enbridge business units.

What You Will Do:

Provide mechanical expertise on metering and regulation of NET fluids (dense phase CO2, H2 etc.) Guide in the areas of rotating equipment related to both re-purposing of legacy gas assets, as well as with NET fluids such as CO2/H2 compression and other process facility mechanical equipment.

Support both project development in front end engineering, as well as due diligence activities related to NET based acquisitions, as well as support for integration into Enbridge ownership/operations.

Develop and grow technical expertise in the field of RNG, Ammonia, Hydrogen and CO2 facilities including rotating equipment, as well as providing guidance on mechanical assets such as measurement and regulation, and other fixed mechanical pressure equipment.

Coordinate the development and roll out of new training programs, including providing input into technical content, to ensure operational readiness for first flow on new assets.

Support project delivery by developing scopes of work for new projects and engineering assessments. Proactively coordinating inputs from partners to ensure clear alignment to business objectives and accurate cost and schedule estimates.

Perform engineering analysis and fitness for service assessments to support the redeployment of facility assets for Hydrogen or CO2 service.

Perform baseline NET technology engineering within existing Enbridge assets to see opportunities to meet our Net-Zero goals.

Who You Are:

You possess Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering-related field plus 7-10 years of proven experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Experience in petrochemical, or related industrial processing

Familiarity with various information, and technical systems and processes applicable to the Pipeline industry. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to effectively lead colleagues through difficult issues.

Strong dedication to delivering and operating assets with a focus on safety and reliability.

P.Eng. designation in Canada or the ability to be registered as a P.E. in the USA.

Previous CO2 and Hydrogen pipelines experience is an asset. Previous experience or knowledge of pipeline operations or related environment preferred
