11 Fulltime H-2A Seasonal Jobs available 02/14/2024 - 12/13/2024.

Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, and water plants and flowers using hand and gardening tools. Transplant and/or pot and label them. Feel plants' leaves and note their coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease. Operate 75hp tractors and other machinery and equipment to fertilize, cultivate, and spray greenhouses, plants, pumpkins and conifer trees. Other crops will include hanging baskets, annuals & perennials, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and squash, Will operate equipment in farm fields and drive on farm roads. Inspect plants and bud ties to assess quality. Spray plants/flowers/trees with prescribed herbicides, fungicides and pesticides to control diseases and insects under strict supervision. Dig, cut, and transplant seedlings, cuttings, and conifers. Move containerized plants, and flowers, using wheelbarrows or tractors. Clean work areas, and maintain grounds. Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, peat moss, and other materials to condition soil, using wheelbarrows or carts and shovels. Will lift and carry bags of fertilizer weighing up to 80 pounds. Maintain and repair irrigation and climate control systems. Harvest pumpkins. Must be able to physically lift up to 80 pounds. Employer will furnish to workers, without cost, all tools and equipment required in the performance of the duties assigned. Workers should report for work with their own suitable work clothing. Field temperatures may range from 0 to 100+ degrees (F) with possible wet morning conditions. Will work during inclement weather as needed. Must have experience in working with farm sanitary and safety practices required in Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) plans. Due to health and safety concerns relating to pesticide application and the operation of equipment on our farm, workers are required to have the ability to comprehend simple instructions in English. After hiring, employer may conduct random drug tests at employers expense.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to physically lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Post-hire random drug tests at employer's expense.
  • Minimum of 3 months experience in performing tasks described in this order.
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions in English.
  • Driving requirements.
  • Extensive pushing/ pulling, walking, stooping/ bending over and repetitive movements.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures.
