Senior Database Professional

What does a successful Senior Database Professional do at Fiserv?

You will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and tuning the performance of key banking applications managed by Fiserv. Should have a strong desire to learn new technologies and concepts, and proactively seek opportunities to add value, improve efficiency, and increase productivity. This role involves working in a challenging environment, providing quality support for a highly available critical application. Expected to undertake product support activities when necessary.

What you will do:

  • Database design and development, including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and security permissions,

  • Designing and developing SSIS packages and SSRS reports.

  • Specialized in solving performance issues and data modelling concepts.

  • Expertise in configuring and managing (including troubleshooting) backup, recovery, replication and Always ON high availability across non-production and Production environments.

  • Working with the DevOps team to tune application stored procedures, database objects, and set up data scenarios in Development and test environments.

  • Support DevOps team with data setup in dev environments and deployments.

What you will need to have:

  • In-depth knowledge of SQL Server architecture, and database performance monitoring, tuning and query optimization.

  • Experience with SQL Server 2016 and above.

  • Must be proficient in writing efficient scripts, applying performance tuning techniques, and independently producing production-ready T-SQL code

  • In-depth knowledge of SQL Server architecture, and database performance monitoring and tuning.

  • Experience with large scale data. Experience in Banking domain is a bonus.

  • Ability to work with multiple teams in parallel.

  • Self-driven, meticulous and versatile communicator.

What would be great to have:

  • Ability to support the Application team with code and data analysis and resolving deployment issues in non-production and production environments.

  • Experience in the Banking and/or Financial Services Industry.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
